let me tell you a little story:

i got my first mobile phone when i was 13.
it was given to me the day my mum went into labour with my sister trish, just in case there was an emergency or something.

i got my next phone sometime later the following year, i remember i lost it when i went on a school excursion.

my next phone lasted me til year 11, it was a nice phone, and it served its purposes. it probably still works.

the next phone i got was my first plan. it was a motorola v3x which was a piece of shit that broke two weeks into when uni started.

since it broke, i had to get a replacement phone, which was some old, second-hand phone that my mother gave me. it lasted me til sometime in the year where mum bought me a new second hand phone.

that phone has been the best phone so far. it's my little brick, i used to lose it once every 2 weeks, but it still found me :$. it still works. and i've had it for 3 years.

last week i ordered a new phone, it was meant to come monday but i had work, so i could only pick it up from the courier on tuesday.
by tuesday night, the phone had broken once, so i got a new one on wednesday morning.
and today, 3 days later, my phone got stolen at work.

anyway the point of the story is that,

i've had this new phone for a week and it's gone through more hell than all my other phones put together.

today i attended a funeral.

it was the first one out of my grandparents' generation,

and he was married to the 7th oldest.

it was strange, i felt sad for his kids :(.

i also met lots of second-cousins that i didn't know existed.

and i also found out that my aunty in law's brother is jess ngo's ex boyfriend. small world much?
